Training
Q-BICON creates an innovative training programme
Q-BICON training will be tailored to the needs of professionals with a profound practical experience in the fields of bioenergy. Thus, the training will only give a overview on basic technical aspects of the bioenergy production processes. The training will focus on sustainability aspects concerning process chains, including biomass production methods and logistics. Legislative and financial issues which have a significant impact on the implementation of bioenergy planning and investments will also be part of the curriculum. Consultancy and communication skills will be trained to strengthen the participants´ practical work skills. Consequently, the training comprises 4 main modules:
1. (Understanding) energy systems
- Basics of thermodynamics and energy systems
- Energy demand and supply
- Energy statistics
2. Sustainable utilization of biomass for energy purposes
- Aspects of sustainability
- Biomass supply chain
- Emissions of (bio)energy systems
- Energy process technologies
- Biofuels
3. Project management, legal framework and funding programmes
- Project management for biomass consultants
- Project development and -implementation
- Legal framework and funding policies
4. Communication and participation (regarding stakeholders)
- Basic models of communication
- Moderation and discussion leading
- Communication management for bioenergy-related projects
Furthermore: Preparation and presentation of a written project work
Q-BICON increases its reach by training multipliers
The Q-BICON training addresses especially consultants, multipliers and skilled employees from public and private sector, as well as NGOs. Potential participants work in the following fields in particular:
- Waste disposal, technical and building services
- Agriculture and forestry
- Spatial planning and architecture
- Energy providers and municipal utilities
- Organizations and associations related to (bio)energy
