The Berufsförderungsinstitut Steiermark (Vocational Promotion Institute Styria) is one of the leading training institutions in Austria. It was founded and is owned by the Austrian Federation of Trade Unions  and the Chamber of Labour. bfi Steiermark has been known in the field of education and training for over 50 years and is classified as an association, whose activities are non-profit oriented. The main activities of bfi Steiermark lie primarily in the planning and implementation of courses and learning events within the field of vocational training and adult education.

Since 1998, bfi Steiermark has been successfully participating in the development and implementation of transnational EU projects, either as the coordinator or as a partner. Since the beginning of EU activities, it has achieved a proud track record of more than 100 successful projects. Many of the measures, outcomes or publications developed in the course of EU projects undergo the in-house “test procedures” and are adopted in the range of seminars the bfi offers.

Bfi Steiermark leads the work package "curriculum development & standardization" and ensures the application-related and customer friendly implementation of the Q-BICON training contents through latest teaching methods.
